The excitement of Fall is in the air.
College and NFL football have started.
Candy corn is now in the middle of the aisle at stores.
Pumpkin Spice latte has landed back on the menu at Starbucks.
I see it, but I don’t like it!
I love Spring and Summer the way Oprah loves bread!!
I love wearing flip flops.
I love walking on the beach barefoot.
I love feeling the sun kiss my cheeks.
But I get it….
The season must change. I must trade in my flip flops for boots…very, very fabulous boots.
I noticed with this particular season change; people tend to embrace it with renewed energy and fervor.
I noticed colleagues are launching new projects and friends are starting on achieving new or previously announced goals.
I too have started working on a project that I laid aside.
So I thought, is September the new January?
Does the “Are you ready for some football?” chant energizes you to do more?
Does the smell of pumpkin spiced latte give you a surge?
Whatever, the reason, I am gonna try to embrace this new season.
I have a short list of 2 goals I want to accomplish before I wave goodbye to 2016. One of those goals is to finish writing my first manuscript that I started in November 2015. Read more about that here.
***Shouts out to Denise, Tiha and my Johnnie (my VIP) for holding me accountable.***
Is September your second chance at January?
What project are you hoping to re-engage in and complete before the end of the year?
